Sharing your goals  helps the other person understanding what you're trying to achieve and why you're motivated to do so.

6. What you want

Tell people what opportunities and connections you're seeking. By expressing your goals, you assist people understand how they may support you and participate in your life.

By mentioning these matters, students can give their friends and teacher/professor an overview of who you are, what you want, and how you plan to pursue that goal. You must include all the above information in your self introduction and practice it aloud.
