Singular And Plural Subjects-


Subjects are of two types:

Singular Subjects:  When the subject refers to one person/place/thing.
Plural subjects: When the subject refers to more than one person/place/thing
Examples-
Singular subjects
Plural subjects
John( one man)
John & Smith( Two different man)
New York (One place)
Cities, Capital cities
Pen (about one pen)
Books, pens, Chairs
This
These, those

Personal Pronoun Subjects: Singular & Plural
Person
Singular subjects
Plural subjects
First Person: Person who speaks about self.
I
We
Second Person: The person or people being spoken to .

You
You(More than two)
Third person: When we talk about third party/person.
                  He,She,Name
They

Note- You” is always treated as a plural subject.
